Photos, videos and soundbites from the April 30 electronic licensing system demonstration are now available in the Minnesota DNR Media Room.
The system, which will launch by early summer, will make it much easier for Minnesotans and visitors to the state to purchase outdoor recreation licenses and register vehicles and watercraft. The phased launch will begin with the fishing and hunting module available first. The module for registering recreational vehicles and watercraft will be included in a later phase.
Until the new ELS system is launched, nothing will change for license agents, deputy registrars, anglers, hunters, and recreational vehicle and watercraft owners as they buy licenses or register motorized vehicles. The current system is fully functional.
