A Band of Anglers, founded decades ago by famed angler Patrick Sebile, is offering for sale a production-ready portfolio of 67 paid production molds representing 57 lure models across the company's Engage, Hyperlastics, Ocean Born and Spooltek brands.
The molds represent an opportunity for an established lure manufacturer, fishing tackle company or entrepreneur to acquire a broad range of proven lure designs and continue production without the expense and delay normally associated with developing new tooling.
Importantly, the production tools are already located with established lure manufacturers in China and Taiwan. A buyer therefore can potentially continue manufacturing through the existing production network without relocating the molds or establishing new factory relationships.
The portfolio includes molds covering a variety of freshwater and saltwater lure designs developed during A Band of Anglers' years in the fishing tackle business. The 57 lure models encompass multiple product categories and provide a prospective buyer with an existing library of production tooling rather than starting from scratch.
"We would much rather see these molds go to someone who can put them to work," said Patrick Sebile. "There is a lot of useful tooling here, and the fact that the molds are already in place with established manufacturers makes this a particularly practical opportunity for the right buyer."
A detailed list of the available molds and lure models is available to qualified interested parties. The seller is seeking a straightforward transaction and is placing greater emphasis on a clean, timely closing than on maximizing the purchase price.
