Engineered to meet the demanding requirements of commercial maritime operations and comply with international safety regulations, the handheld VHF provides critical communication capabilities both during daily operations and in life-or-death emergencies.

The fully-certified ACR Electronics SR303 meets IMO and SOLAS standards (including RESOLUTION MSC.515(105)) and is compliant with the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS).

Designed with durability and simplicity at its core, the SR303 is available in two configurations—either as a dedicated GMDSS emergency VHF or as a dual battery kit that also supports everyday maritime communication needs.

  • Automatic GMDSS Mode Activation: The primary Lithium battery features a witness label and instantly powers the radio into distress mode, preset to channel 16 with default volume and squelch levels with access to the GMDSS channel set.

  • Dual Battery System: The full kit includes a long-life primary Lithium battery (over 8 hours of operation) for emergency use, plus a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery for routine daily communication allowing access to the full International, US and Canadian channel sets.
