Alabama Bass Trail Sells Out in Under 5 Minutes!

Decatur, Alabama – The Alabama Bass Trail (ABT) is thrilled to announce that registration for the highly anticipated 2026 season sold out in under five minutes in both the North and South Divisions, with waiting lists now established for both divisions. For the 13th season, the ABT will host 450 teams consisting of 900 anglers from 12 different states across the U.S., including California and Missouri.

Daniel Vasquez, who will fish his first ABT tournament in 2026, had this to say: "I recently made the big move to Alabama to pursue my goals in bass fishing, so registering for the ABTs was a no-brainer. The tough competition, professional style events and incredible tournament staff, make it a great series/platform to hone your skills in professional tournament fishing. I look forward to the 2026 season!"

Not only did registration sell out in record time, but the program also experienced a substantial increase in returning teams from the 2025 season.

Kay Donaldson, Director of the Alabama Bass Trail, expressed her gratitude and excitement: "The North Division sold out in just over three minutes. Filling up this quickly is simply unheard of. Each year the sell-out happens more rapidly than the previous year. Will we hit that two-minute sell-out mark next? Much like the Kentucky Derby, ABT registration is quickly becoming the most exciting two minutes in fishing—brief, but extremely impactful. More teams took advantage of priority registration, and we are incredibly grateful for those teams returning to fish with us in 2026. It remains a testament to the loyalty of our anglers and the dedication of the ABT team."

The ABT takes pride in fostering a vibrant community of passionate anglers who make our tournaments successful. We appreciate the trust you place in us and remain committed to working tirelessly to ensure that our tournament trail remains the best it can be.

Since its inception, the Alabama Bass Trail has hosted 137 tournaments, resulting in over $115 million in economic impact to the state of Alabama. Additionally, the ABT was named the 2024 Decatur, Morgan County Event of the Year and was nominated for The State of Alabama Event of the Year in 2025.

As we gear up for our 13th season, we extend a warm welcome back to our loyal teams and eagerly invite our new teams to join us in what promises to be another season of thrilling competition. The season will culminate in a $50,000 no-entry-fee championship with an opportunity to qualify for the BASSMASTER Classic! This season, anglers and viewers alike can look forward to enhanced coverage, as the team trail will broadcast live on Alabama Bass Trail TV through YouTube, Facebook, and www.alabamabasstrail.org.

The Alabama Bass Trail's 30-minute television show begins airing each July on FanDuel Sports, multiple streaming platforms, and various other markets, making the Alabama Bass Trail more accessible to fishing enthusiasts nationwide.

As we prepare for the upcoming season, we are excited about the future of the Alabama Bass Trail and the incredible experiences that await our anglers. We'll see you in January!
