New Bio-Gill Pro from FishLab

ONTARIO, Calif. – FishLab Tackle is proud to introduce the next evolution of one of its most iconic bait lines with the release of the Bio-Gill Pro Series for 2025. Building on the proven fish-catching performance of the original Bio Gill, the new Pro Series features enhanced realism, tighter swimming action, upgraded components, designed to match bluegill forage with deadly accuracy.

The reinvented Bio Gill Pro lineup includes three hard bait options—a wake bait, a swimbait, and a glide bait—each crafted to mimic the lifelike swimming motion of bluegill in different parts of the water column. Now featuring high-end “JDM” inspired paint jobs, tighter swimming action, and tournament-grade hardware, the Bio-Gill Pro is more realistic and effective than ever before.

The Bio Gill Pro Wake Bait is a three-piece, double-jointed high-floating lure designed to push a wide, rolling wake at slow to medium speeds. Its clacking action draws predatory fish from a distance, while its stability allows stop-and-go retrieves or steady pulls over shallow structure and vegetation. Available in a 4” model, the wake bait produces an aggressive surface disturbance that entices crushing topwater strikes.

The Swimbait version, also in a 4” size, features a natural, tight kicking motion and excels at steady retrieves along weed lines, docks, and shorelines. For a more tactical approach, the 5” Glide Bait delivers a slow-sinking, side-to-side S-pattern—ideal for targeting suspended bass or enticing big followers in open water.

The full Bio Gill Pro Series is now available in five high-quality colorways, including the brand-new Bone White, developed to stand out in low-light or stained water conditions. All models come pre-rigged with tournament-grade black nickel treble hooks and split rings, ensuring performance right out of the package.

“The Bio Gill was one of our most successful and versatile bait designs, and with the new Pro Series, we’ve taken everything up a notch—paint, hardware, action, and realism,” said Mike Bennett, Product Development Manager at FishLab. “These are baits that not only look the part but act like the real thing in every part of the water column.”
