Indiana's Patoka Lake Tailwaters Closed Due to High Water

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is temporarily closing the public access launch at Patoka Lake Tail Waters because of unseasonably high water levels in the Patoka Reservoir.

This closure has been requested by the Army Corps of Engineers out of an abundance of caution since the high water levels have caused them to increase discharge of water from the Patoka Lake Dam.

Once the water lowers to a typical level, the site will be reopened. In the meantime, please look at our Where to Fish Map for alternate launch sites at on.IN.gov/where2fish.
