New Fishing Pier at Louisiana's Spring Bayou WMA

Construction of a new fishing pier by the Spring Bayou Restoration Team at the Boggy Bayou Boat Launch on Spring Bayou Wildlife Management Area (WMA) has been completed, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced.

The Spring Bayou Restoration Team completely funded the project. For more information on the organization, go to https://www.sbrt-online.com/.

Spring Bayou WMA is located in Avoyelles Parish approximately two miles east of Marksville, off Louisiana Highway 115 and 452.

Available game species include deer, squirrel, rabbit, woodcock, and waterfowl. Spring Bayou WMA offers youth deer, squirrel, and turkey seasons. In addition, largemouth bass, various panfish and catfish are found at Spring Bayou WMA.

All visitors to Spring Bayou WMA and all LDWF WMAs must have either a WMA Access Permit, Senior Hunting/Fishing License, Louisiana Sportsman’s Paradise License, or Lifetime Hunting/Fishing License.
