Atchafalaya Fishing Meeting Sept. 18 in Baton Rouge

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF), Inland Fisheries Section, will host a public meeting on the current state of recreational freshwater fishing in the Atchafalaya River Basin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, in the Joe L. Herring Room of the LDWF Headquarters office in Baton Rouge, located at 2000 Quail Drive, Baton Rouge, LA.

Biologists will present an update on recreational fisheries in the Atchafalaya Basin, followed by a summary of a recent recreational angler public survey sponsored by LDWF Office of Fisheries. The public will be invited to ask questions or express concerns related to the freshwater fishery in the Atchafalaya River Basin at the conclusion of the survey summary.
