Salt Strong Acquired by Crecera Brands

Crecera Brands, a leading online retailer specializing in hunting, fishing, golf, baseball, softball, camping, shooting sports, and military surplus products – has announced the acquisition of Salt Strong, the largest inshore saltwater fishing community in America.

Salt Strong’s mission is to unite friends and family through the sport of fishing by providing guidance from their expert fishing coaches, extensive how-to content, and the Salt Strong Insider Club community that actively shares fishing tips and tactics. Salt Strong’s business also includes the Smart Fishing Spots app and the Fish Strong brand of tackle and fishing equipment that is sold directly to consumers and Insider Club members online.

Like Salt Strong, Crecera’s Sportsman’s Guide business offers a Buyers Club membership program that enables customers to save money on products for their outdoor pursuits such as hunting, shooting, fishing, camping and more. There are no immediate plans to combine the Sportsman’s Guide Buyers Club and Salt Strong Insider Club membership programs, but members can expect to enjoy club synergies and benefits to be announced soon.

Salt Strong co-founder Joe Simonds will continue to serve as President, while his co-founder and brother, Luke Simonds, will continue to serve as CFA (Chief Fishing Addict) of Salt Strong. The Salt Strong team will remain committed to its existing mission.

The acquisition closed on September 16th. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
