You've heard us talk a lot about our St. Croix Family, which includes our anglers, all our team members, our Ambassadors, reps, dealers, and fishing-industry partners.

One of our Family members is facing significant health and financial challenges. If you're a saltwater angler or you've ever heard of or tied the Alberto knot, you probably know who "Crazy Alberto" Knie is. He's earned the "Crazy" part of his name by fishing at a pace that could put anglers half his age into the hospital.

Unfortunately, that's exactly where Alberto found himself in late August after suffering a massive heart attack with additional complications. After a lengthy stay in the ICU, Alberto has been fitted with a cardioverter defibrillator, is taking his medications, attending follow-up procedures, and is following doctors' orders with respect to his lifestyle. He is staying positive, says he's feeling better, and has expressed extreme gratitude for the many people and organizations who have extended him a range of support - from prayers and good vibes to financial contributions towards his extensive medical bills.
