Montana FWP Seeks Info on Vandalism at Lake Elmo State Park

BILLINGS – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are seeking information on the identity of an individual or individuals that vandalized various areas of Lake Elmo State Park. The incident is believed to have occurred on the evening of Monday, Aug. 11.

During the incident, vandals used a large rock to destroy a toilet and threw wet balls of toilet paper in the Lake Elmo pavilion women’s restroom. Additionally, 17 sprinkler heads were destroyed on the lawn at the FWP office and near the pavilion.

Theft of and vandalism to state property is a crime that can result in fines and criminal punishment.

Anyone with possible information on the incident, especially the identity of the suspect or suspects, is encouraged to visit tipmont.mt.gov to provide details or contact Billings area game warden Skyler Mitchell at 406-850-2336. Those who report information may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
