Fly fishing for bass within the diverse habitats they hunt requires specialized rods. Technique-specific fast-action tapers that master aggressive lines, feature stiff tips for highly animated presentations, and can lift and carry large amounts of line are a must. Uncompromising durability, balanced swing weights, and angler-friendly ergonomics are also required. The all-new TANNIC BASS series from St. Croix Fly delivers all these essentials, along with line speed, tip recovery, and line control like bass bums have never experienced – all courtesy of an advanced carbon fiber matrix enhanced with MITO Graphene. Combining four bass-centric #6 through #9 rod actions with the progressive ergonomics necessary to fish hard and long in any bass pursuit, TANNIC BASS wraps clean, tech-forward aesthetics around sizzling, bass-specific St. Croix performance. Musky anglers grind out long hours on the water hucking huge flies while hoping to elicit equally huge eats. St. Croix Fly's all-new TANNIC MUSKY/PIKE answers the call with powerful, dialed-in tapers that excel in carrying heavy sinking lines that can deliver massive morsels, plus hefty tips for maximum fly animation and strip-setting power. But that’s just the start. Advanced St. Croix materials and technologies combined with MITO Graphene up the ante with extreme strength and durability while maintaining light-in-the-hand feel and dream-state swing weights. #10 through #12 weight TANNIC MUSKY/PIKE models double down on meaningful musky-focused performance with additional details like ceramic-insert titanium and stainless-guides for increased wear resistance against tungsten coated lines, plus custom Cactus Cork handle designs that maximize angler comfort and control while casting, strip-setting, and executing deep and effective figure-eights and other finishing moves. Made in the USA. Available December 2025. Retail $795.

Longer musky rods are trending for good reason. When combined with heavy or extra-heavy power, additional rod length helps anglers cast heavy baits farther, set hooks more efficiently, and execute figure-eights and the other finishing moves that coax boatside strikes more effectively. For 2026, St. Croix Rod expands the angler-favorite Mojo Musky lineup with three all-new longer models – a 10’ heavy power JOMFG100HF2, a 10’ extra-heavy power JOMFG100XHF2, and a 10’6” heavy power JOMFG106HF2. All are two-piece with a 70/30 split that places the junction low in the stiffer section of the rod. These rods feature acclaimed, premium SCIII carbon-fiber construction strengthened by Fortified Resin System (FRS) technology, TRIGON handles with GRASP II angler-adaptable reel seats, and smooth and strong actions courtesy of IPC mandrel technology. Blanks are mated to proven, black stainless-steel guide frames with trouble-free stainless-steel rings. Available December 2025. Retail $400 to $420.
