New Starfire "Big Water" Rods from Eagle Claw

Eagle Claw originally released Starfire rods in 1978. Since their release, Starfire rods have matured into a trusted staple for big water trolling anglers. The new Starfire X Trolling series hopes to build on the bedrock principles that have kept it a favorite by offering smart refinements from accumulated angler feedback and expert consultation.

When it came time to reimagine the already successful series, Head of Product Development Mike Rosasco and Product Manager Darin Telfer knew they had big shoes to fill. "The Starfire series has always been known for its reliability and affordability, but we wanted to take it to the next level," said Rosasco.

To achieve this goal, the team at Eagle Claw reached out to legendary anglers Mark and Jake Romanack hoping to capitalize on their trolling and big water expertise. Hosts of Fishing 411 and developers of the Precision Trolling Data App, the collaboration paid dividends. "We're thrilled to have collaborated with Eagle Claw on the Starfire X Trolling series," said Mark. "We've spent decades fishing for all types of species and in all types of water conditions. We wanted to take our experience and help Eagle Claw refine a series of rods to exceed the needs of anglers today."

The Starfire X Trolling series includes updated legacy models and brand-new offerings to the lineup informed by the Romanacks’ expertise. "We focused on custom-tailored features for each specific trolling technique," said Jake Romanack, adding that they're confident anglers of all levels will appreciate the new Starfire.

The all-new Starfire X Trolling series has been meticulously designed with modern technique-specific materials and builds, ensuring the reliability of the series.
