1,630 Skeeter Owners Turn out for Skeeter Owners Tournament in Texas

John Clark, General Manager, Skeeter Boats, congratulates Michael Feagan of Wimberley, Texas, who reeled in a bass weighing 10.04 pounds to win the Skeeter Owners' Tournament grand prize, the 2025 Skeeter FXR20 Apex Edition and Yamaha V MAX SHO 250 outboard.

KILGORE, Texas-- Skeeter Boats hosted the 31st annual Skeeter Owners Bass Tournament on Lake Fork, Texas, at Lake Fork Marina and Hotel in Alba, Texas, June 7 through 8. Approximately 1,630 anglers in Skeeter® boats competed for more than $250,000 in cash and prizes, including a 2025 Skeeter FXR20 Apex Edition bass boat powered by a Yamaha V MAX SHO® 250 Outboard, and a 2025 Yamaha Viking®VI EPS Ranch Side-by-Side, with a chance to win a 2025 Yamaha Kodiak® 450 ATV in the Skeeter 2025 Boat Load of Toys Sweepstakes.

Anglers competed an individual Big Bass tournament format, allowing each angler to weigh in one fish per hour, with prizes awarded to the top 10 fish each hour, as well as the overall biggest bass and the biggest bass “under the slot”. Michael Feagan of Wimberley, Texas, reeled in a bass weighing 10.04 pounds to win this year’s grand prize, the 2025 Skeeter FXR20 Apex Edition and Yamaha V MAX SHO 250 outboard. Lyle Potter of Ore City, Texas, took home the 2025 Yamaha Viking VI EPS Ranch Side-by-Side for weighing in the heaviest bass under the slot with a 2.86-pound largemouth bass. Clint Lakoskie, Montgomery, Texas won the Yamaha Kodiak 450 ATV from the 2025 Boat Load of Toys Sweepstakes.

Anglers and volunteers also collected more than 2,000 toys and over $1,800 cash for charities during the event. The Bass Champs Tournament Organization ran the tournament.
