Hydroflyer has announced the launch of the Hydroflyer AL, a new entry-level electric hydrofoil designed to bring foiling to a broader consumer market.
Hydroflyer AL says it has spent the past four years working toward making foiling more accessible to a broader market and everyday riders without compromising safety or performance.
The new entry-level efoil Hydroflyer AL, priced at at $9,995, forms part of an expanded product electric hydrofoil range and three-tier product lineup.
The new three-tier product lineup from Hydroflyer AL also includes the Hydroflyer CF and the high-performance Hydroflyer FF (see videos of the range below).

Together, the expanded range allows riders to choose between accessible entry-level systems and higher-performance models depending on their experience and riding style. (Hydroflyer AL left).
A safer way to learn foiling
A key differentiator for Hydroflyer is its handlebar-based riding platform, which was designed to make the sport safer and easier to learn compared to traditional eFoils.
Unlike conventional eFoils, which are ridden hands-free, Hydroflyer boards feature integrated handlebars that provide additional balance and stability while riding. In the event of a fall, riders holding the handlebars naturally remain positioned on the opposite side of the board from the hydrofoil below the water, reducing the risk of contact with the sharp foil.
This design has made Hydroflyer appealing for first-time riders and commercial rental operators, where safety and ease of instruction are critical.
The system allows beginners to learn the fundamentals of foiling more quickly while also offering experienced riders greater control at higher speeds.
A range of efoiling models
The Hydroflyer AL was developed specifically to lower the barrier to entry for new riders. Built using an aluminum mast, fibreglass components and a carbon fibre board, the AL retains the core Hydroflyer riding experience while offering a more consumer-friendly price point.
Alongside the AL, Hydroflyer has introduced two additional higher performance electric hydrofoil models.

The Hydroflyer CF (pictured left), priced at $15,995, features full carbon fibre construction and incorporates the brand's latest remote control and user interface.
At the top of the lineup sits the Hydroflyer FF, a high-performance electric hydrofoil priced at $18,995. The FF features a new motor, mast, battery and onboard computer system delivering up to 10,000 watts of power, making it the most powerful eFoil system currently available.

The FF (pictured left) also introduces Hydroflyer's next-generation Android-based user interface, enabling riders to customise throttle curves, configure take-off behaviour and monitor ride data in real time, with future updates expected to include integrated mapping and water-depth information.
Pre-orders open as Hydroflyer expands global sales
Hydroflyer systems are currently available through a growing network of rental and demonstration locations, including 12 locations across the United States.
International partners are also operating Hydroflyer systems in Italy, Spain, Morocco, Dubai and Australia.
Jerry McArthur, founder of Hydroflyer, says: "Since day one, our goal has been to make foiling more accessible without compromising the riding experience. The AL is an important milestone for us. It brings Hydroflyer's safety-first design and unique riding platform to a much wider audience, while still delivering the performance and excitement that makes foiling such an incredible sport."
Pre-orders for the new Hydroflyer models, including the Hydroflyer AL, are now open via the company's website.
