"I've spent a lot of years tweaking hooks and perfecting them, and this one's it," said Feider. "It's the ultimate fluke hook."
The Swivel Fluke hook is a custom hook made specifically for fishing soft plastic fluke-style baits. It features a PTFE coating for 50% faster hook penetration, a strategically placed epoxy/mono keeper to seriously lock your bait on the hook, and a super-sharp needlepoint.
"You can catch a bunch of fish and the point's just as strong as when you got it out of the package," said Feider. "The mono keeper holds your bait up really well. You can make long casts, rip the bait really hard, and you don't have to worry about the bait sliding down at all." But the real deal is the swivel at the front of the hook. "I get a lot of line twists when I'm fishing, so I used to have problems breaking off a fish on a fluke," said Feider. "This hook eliminates all of that." In addition to eliminating line twists, the swivel adds just enough weight to keep the bait sub-surface when you're working it aggressively.
The custom offset round-bend hook has a shallower bend, which maximizes the hook gap and eliminates skin hooking. "The hooking percentage on this hook is next level," said Feider.
