DAIWA Introduces New PRESSO Freeboard Case for Technical Anglers

NEW FOR 2026

Modular Precision

New DAIWA® PRESSO Freeboard Case is a tactical command center for the mobile and technical angler

FOOTHILL RANCH, CA (June 9, 2026) – For the technical angler, success is found in the details. When the objective requires micro-spoons, jigs, and BFS (Bait Finesse System) hardbaits, the preservation of lure integrity and finish is paramount, not to mention the need for clinical organization. To meet the demands of this specialized discipline, DAIWA is proud to announce the arrival of the PRESSO Freeboard Case.

The PRESSO Freeboard Case functions less like a traditional tackle box and more like a field surgery kit. Designed for the mobile angler who operates in wading, bank-fishing, or high-mileage scenarios, the Freeboard Case provides a secure, hard-shell environment for lures that require calibrated organization and protective architecture

"The PRESSO Freeboard Case was engineered for the angler who views their tackle as a technical ecosystem," said DAIWA Field Marketing Manager, Chris Martin. "We've replaced the chaos of traditional storage with a modular system where every spoon and jighead is indexed, protected, and immediately accessible."

Technical Architecture

The Freeboard Case is defined by high-performance hardware and a customizable internal layout:

The Vault Build: A custom-molded hard-shell case featuring high-engagement hinges and a secure, cam-style latch designed to maintain structural integrity during aggressive transport.

Indexed Compartmentalization: The interior utilizes a dual-sided logic separated by a clear, high-visibility partition. This prevents cross-contamination of lures, protecting delicate finishes from scratching or sticky sharp hooks from tangling.

Customizable Foam Matrix: Each compartment accepts specialized foam-strip inserts. This allows anglers to calibrate the internal geometry of the case to their specific lure requirements, from micro-jigheads to ultra-light spoons.

Low-Profile Footprint: With a slim, 1-inch depth, the Freeboard Case is optimized for technical sling-bags, hip bags, and tactical backpacks, ensuring a streamlined loadout.

Multi-Species Application

While the PRESSO name is the global standard for trout, the Freeboard Case is a vital tool for the growing BFS bass movement and technical panfish applications. Its rugged, compact design makes it the definitive grab-and-go solution for the desk drawer, the glove box, or the wading vest.

Available in two sizes: 7 x 4 x 1 (Model 175) and 205 8 x 5.5 x 1 (Model 205)

MSRP from $18.99
