Featuring a fully machined 6061 aluminum body and spool, the VR II series brings rugged strength in a compact, lightweight package. Built for harsh saltwater conditions, the new 25 size is Van Staal's smallest fully sealed reel, while still producing the smooth, dependable feel the brand is known for. This addition brings the trusted durability and precision of the VR platform to a broader range of applications.
At the core of the VR II reels is a stainless-steel spiral-bevel gear system providing smooth, efficient power transfer and long-lasting durability under heavy loads. The fully sealed body and spool design protect critical components from water intrusion, while the waterproof drag system ensures consistent, reliable performance when battling hard-fighting inshore species. Now equipped with the highly requested Powergrip handle knob and Powergrip drag knob as standard features, anglers gain enhanced control and comfort right out of the box.
