Alumacraft is heading into the 2027 model year with a new boat, a clearer naming structure across key series and a number of product updates aimed at improving the on-the-water experience.
The changes include the introduction of the all-new Navigator 165 and 175, updated designators for the Competitor and Trophy series, the launch of the Dominator tiller series, and a collection of functional, rigging and styling updates across the lineup.
THE ALL-NEW NAVIGATOR
The Navigator is an all-new addition to the Alumacraft lineup, designed for anglers looking for a mid-sized fishing boat that brings together modern design, thoughtful features and proven fishing functionality.
Available in 165 and 175 models, the Navigator features a new Bow Control Center, ample bow storage, durable injection-molded consoles and a newly designed bonded glass windshield. Angler-focused ergonomics and woven vinyl flooring add comfort and durability, while an aft livewell and Alumacraft's FSX stern layout provide the fishing functionality and versatility anglers expect.
"The Navigator was created for anglers who want a boat that feels refined and well-equipped without moving into a larger, more expensive package," said Zach Klein, Product Manager. "We focused on the details that make a difference during a day on the water, from the layout and storage to the comfort and usability of the boat."
The Navigator 175 measures 17 feet, 11 inches with an 87-inch beam and is rated for up to 140 horsepower. The Navigator 165 measures 16 feet, 11 inches with an 87-inch beam and is rated for up to 90 horsepower. Both models have a 17-gallon fuel capacity.
The Navigator will be offered in Black Pearl, Storm Blue, Phantom Gray, Velocity Red and Alpine White.
UPDATED COMPETITOR AND TROPHY SERIES DESIGNATORS
For 2027, Alumacraft is updating the model designators used across the Competitor and Trophy series to better align with common boat sizing conventions in today's fishing boat market.
Historically, Alumacraft models such as the 175X, 185X, 195X and 205X measured longer than similarly designated boats from many other manufacturers. While the designators had long been part of the Alumacraft lineup, they could create confusion when anglers compared boats across brands based on the number in the model name.
The updated designators more closely reflect how these boats are positioned and sized within the broader marketplace:
- 175X becomes 180X
- 185X becomes 190X
- 195X becomes 200X
- 205X becomes 210X
The boats themselves are not changing as part of the designator update. The new naming simply gives anglers a clearer point of comparison when shopping across brands and better communicates the overall size of each boat.
The change applies to both the Competitor and Trophy series.
INTRODUCING THE DOMINATOR TILLER SERIES
Alumacraft's tiller lineup will also receive a distinct identity for 2027 with the introduction of the Dominator series.
Previously part of the Competitor series, the tiller boats will now carry the Dominator name while retaining the familiar 175X, 185X, 195X and 205X designators.
The change creates a clearer distinction between Alumacraft's console and tiller offerings while giving the tiller lineup its own place within the broader product portfolio.
REFINEMENTS TO THE COMPETITOR AND TROPHY SERIES
For 2027, the Competitor and Trophy series receive several updates focused on durability, usability and the details anglers interact with throughout the day.
An updated livewell pump and valve system improves livewell performance, while additional support has been added to the Bow Control Center. The Forestar seat hardware has also been updated with more robust materials and a design intended to eliminate friction between moving components while maintaining the available pedestal configurations.
The glovebox has been redesigned with formed aluminum construction painted black, along with a movable spring kickstand and a raised 3D model designator.
MORE RIGGING AND STEERING OPTIONS
Yamaha Digital Electric Steering will be available for the 2027 model year, giving customers and dealers additional rigging flexibility.
Select models will also receive new cable steering and XPA configurations. The 180X remote-steering model will include cable steering as standard, with XPA available as an option. The 190X remote-steering model will feature cable steering and XPA as standard equipment.
SHADOW SERIES EXPANDS ITS OPTIONS
The Shadow Series will take on a new format for 2027, moving from a standalone model to an available package.
The change allows the Shadow Series package to be paired with any available MY27 color. The package will continue to include Shadow Series interior upholstery, a casting seat, bow cushions, and console cushions on Sport models, captain's chairs, an upgraded lighting package and a 36V kit.

The 2027 Trophy series will be available with an expanded selection of two-tone color combinations:

Alpine White / Phantom Gray
Alpine White / Velocity Red
Alpine White / Storm Blue
Phantom Gray / Alpine White

Black Pearl / Alpine White
Black Pearl / Velocity Red

Black Pearl / Phantom Gray
The Competitor series will be offered in Black Pearl, Storm Blue, Velocity Red, Phantom Gray and Alpine White.
The Voyageur, Classic and Escape series will be available in Black Pearl, Alpine White and Phantom Gray.

Taken together, the 2027 updates represent a continued evolution of the Alumacraft lineup. The addition of the Navigator creates a new option for anglers in the mid-sized fishing boat segment, while the updated Competitor and Trophy designators and introduction of the Dominator series bring greater clarity to the lineup.
