Duckett Fishing Introduces the Newly Updated Crappie Slayer Rod
A fresh update to the previous model combines sensitivity, balance, and power for today's crappie fishing techniques.
GUNTERSVILLE, ALA. — [October 14th, 2026] — Duckett Fishing introduces the new Crappie Slayer, an update to its established panfish rod featuring a carbon-reinforced handle system and low-profile cork grip. Whether anglers are shooting docks, casting swimbaits, or targeting fish with forward facing sonar, the newly improved Crappie Slayer delivers tournament-level performance at an exceptional value.
Built on Duckett Fishing's proven Sensi-Touch™ multi-modulus blank platform, the rod features the company's advanced Halo-Sanding process to reduce weight and increase sensitivity. 316 stainless steel guides maximize casting performance and line control, helping anglers detect the lightest bites and the backbone to finish the fight.
At the heart of the new Crappie Slayer is its improved, carbon-reinforced handle system paired with a low-profile cork grip. This combination provides exceptional comfort, balance, and durability for long days on the water.
What separates the Crappie Slayer from traditional panfish rods is its distinct tip-to-backbone transition. The responsive tip helps anglers detect subtle bites and present baits naturally, while the powerful lower section provides the control needed to confidently land trophy-sized crappie and other panfish.
The updated Crappie Slayer includes two all new models in 7'5" and 7'6", capitalizing on the newest trends in crappie fishing by providing anglers with longer rods for casting the lightest baits to finicky fish.
